EEK! I am so honored to have been chosen again as one of 10 photographers to earn a top spot on Evoking You’s weekly top ten.  Evoking You is a creatives blog for all things photography. It serves as an inspiration point for photographers and artists alike. They currently have over 16k followers on Facebook and another 16k on Pinterest. This last week’s image contest was for, “Weddings.” Weddings is a very broad category as it can encompass anything from the day or related to the day of the wedding.  I submitted an image from Adam and Tanya’s May wedding at Hotel Vitale in San Francisco (You can see more here). It’s hands down my favorite bridal party image I’ve taken this year – the location, lighting and body language was simply stunning.

It’s such an honor to be recognized for photography – there are so many stunning photographers out there – so. many. When I photograph a wedding, I look to capture emotion, love and romance. Love is so powerful.   The weddings that I seem to book and the couples that are drawn to me are madly in love. The kind of love that storybooks and movies are made out of. I cry at my weddings – yep – I said it. The more weddings I photograph, the more invested I seem to become. I shed tears during the vows.  I shed tears during the first dance. I shed tears when the bride dances with her father. I then get down and dance with my camera when the party begins! I just love, love and I love photographing love.  It’s really kind of awesome. At a wedding I photographed this last weekend a groomsman looked at me and said, “You must really hate your job. You’re around love all of the time and you have had that huge smile on your face all day long.”  Yeah – Best. Gig. Ever.
