We’ve had the pleasure of being part of many special occasions, but Khalil and Sayler’s The Club at Ruby Hill wedding was truly something else. It was an amazing day, packed with so many awesome moments to capture. From the ceremony to the reception, every minute of Khalil and Sayler’s wedding was one to cherish. Their wedding theme, with its chic colors of dusty rose, white, black, and gold, added a touch of elegance and sophistication to the day, and seeing the newlyweds enjoying their big day worry-free was a heartwarming sight. Their happiness was contagious, and this is exactly what we live for as photographers!

From Dating To Getting Married

Khalil and Sayler’s journey began at Boise State University (go Broncos!), where they met through mutual friends. Fast forward to today, Khalil is a wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills, and together, they’ve made a cozy home in New York.

Talking about their proposal, it happened during Khalil’s Pro Day weekend. With family in town to support him, they headed to Sayler and Khalil’s favorite spot in Boise, Lucky Peak, a stunning lake with breathtaking views. Amid family pictures at a scenic viewpoint, Khalil popped the question, making it a day filled with love and celebration.

When it came to planning their wedding, Khalil and Sayler’s favorite part was brainstorming all the thoughtful gift ideas for their guests. But, like most couples, they did face a challenging aspect – finalizing the guest list (when is it ever easy, right? We feel you guys!). Despite this minor hiccup, their wedding day was perfect!

Khalil and Sayler had planned a beautiful outdoor ceremony, but as the day unfolded, it began to rain. Yet, being their carefree and loving selves, Khalil and Sayler didn’t let the weather cast a shadow on their special day. Instead, they swiftly moved their ceremony indoors, embracing the change with laughter and grace – all thanks to their coordinator, Erin, from Allora Events. Their positive attitude towards this unexpected twist was truly admirable. They worked around the rain, turning what could have been a setback into a memorable feature of their wedding day.

With an indoor setting just as stunning as their original, Khalil entered the ceremony dancing (with a spin or two) to a Jackson 5 song. It was EPIC! All of the guests hollered and danced in their seats, too! As the wedding bells rang, Sayler made her grand entrance. She was every bit the calm and radiant bride, looking absolutely stellar in her wedding dress by Essense of Australia from J’aime Bridal. Her makeup artist(s) from Status Salon did a brilliant job, making her look on point for the big day. And this effort certainly paid off, considering the look on Khalil’s face as he saw his beautiful bride. He got emotional as Sayler walked down the aisle, and their heartfelt expressions and beaming eyes as they said their vows spoke volumes about how much they meant to each other. It was a wonderful moment as they said their ‘I do’s’ and sealed their union with a kiss.

Celebrating The Newlyweds

Capturing Sayler and Khalil’s group and couples portraits was an absolute delight. The weather cleared up post-rain as if on cue, blessing us with a magical afterglow. The scenic vistas of The Club at Ruby Hill served as stunning backdrops, resulting in light and airy wedding photos. The fun doubled when Sayler and Khalil’s wedding party joined in for group shots. The bridesmaids, each holding a fresh bouquet from Blushing Florals, created a picture-perfect frame around Sayler. On the other side, the groomsmen were all smiles, posing confidently in their sharp suits and bowties.

Khalil and Sayler’s wedding reception was all about good vibes. The couple added their personal touch by swapping the typical bouquet and garter toss for footballs – talk about a fun twist! They opened the dance floor with a heartwarming first dance to Natalie Cole’s “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love).” The dance floor quickly became the hotspot, with party lights flashing, courtesy of Fantasy Sounds. All the while, JKapture was on hand to capture the joy and laughter that filled the room. After the couple’s romantic first dance and engaging wedding games, they lit up the night with sparklers, creating a magical scene. The wedding cake, a magnificent creation from Glass Slipper Gourmet, was a sight to behold. And just when we thought things couldn’t get any sweeter, a Gelato cart from Sweet Spring Rentals rolled in, delivering a delightful end to the day.
