As senior portrait photographers, there’s nothing more fulfilling than capturing these exciting moments for students as they prepare for their next chapter in life. Our recent mini senior session for the three girls from the Class of 2023 from Dougherty Valley High School in Pleasanton was no exception. From the picturesque scenery to the students’ radiant energy, we couldn’t help but marvel at the beauty of this momentous occasion. The seniors showcased their unique personalities and contagious energy and enthusiasm for their mini senior portrait session and we were thrilled to capture it all! In this blog, we’re excited to share just a taste of these remarkable photos!

Class of 2023’s Pleasanton Mini Senior Portrait Session

As we began the session, it was clear that these girls had a certain charm and grace that made them stand out from the crowd. The beautiful greenery and bright sunlight served as a picturesque backdrop, creating splendid shadows and highlights as the girls posed in various spots. It was a perfect combination of nature and human spirit, and we couldn’t have asked for a better day. 

What caught our eye was how the girls absolutely aced it when it came to coordinating their looks. They all wore beautiful white dresses that complemented each other perfectly. It added an extra level of sophistication that brought out their enthusiasm and spirit, which made for some amazing photos. 

Speaking of amazing photos, these three rocked their poses and gave us their most charming smiles. We worked together to find the perfect angles, lighting, and poses that would capture their unique personalities, and they certainly did not disappoint. One of the most special moments of the session was when they donned their caps and gowns and posed with their college banners. 

They wanted to do a cap and gown session before graduation. Each of them was excited about their future, with one heading to Brown University and the others looking forward to starting their college careers at UC Irvine. They stood together, proud and determined to embrace their next chapter of life. We captured their solo and group portraits, and it was such a joy to see them beaming with pride for the future ahead. They were relaxed and comfortable throughout the shoot. The photos turned out splendidly, emulating their unique personalities with positivity and movement. 

As we moved from one location to the next, we were delighted by the way the sunlight filtered through the trees, casting a beautiful glow upon the girls. It added another layer of warmth and vibrancy to the portraits and truly highlighted their natural beauty. We knew that these graduating seniors and their families would treasure these memories for years to come.

These girls were full of life, energy, and positivity, and we couldn’t have asked for better subjects. One of our favorite moments from the photo shoot was spending quality time with the seniors, engaging in meaningful conversations about their exciting journey to college and reminiscing about their unforgettable high school experiences, including when they talked about the most challenging class they took – AP biology. Surviving such a rigorous class is something to be proud of, and these ladies certainly were!
