We were super excited when Genesis and Cynthia contacted us to photograph their wedding. We had met Cynthia previously when we had the most wonderful time photographing her sister and brother-in-law’s wedding (Christine and Jackie) at Casa Real in Pleasanton in July 2016. Her family was so kind and welcoming so, when it was Cynthia’s turn to get married, we were all for it! Genesis and Cynthia had the sweetest and most beautiful wedding, surrounded by friends and family in Santa Rosa, California. It was incredible to witness their connection throughout their day, and there was no shortage of happiness, love, and laughter. Here’s a glimpse of their wedding day. 

Genesis And Cynthia’s Wedding In Santa Rosa

Cynthia and Genesis planned their wedding in 2020 but had to postpone it and also change the venue. And even though they had to adjust to a new year and a new location, it turned out to be perfect. The gorgeous private residence (a vacation rental) in Santa Rosa where they ultimately said “I do” was an exquisite location surrounded by nature and fresh air, giving us so many opportunities to capture picturesque shots of the bride and groom. We couldn’t have imagined a better venue for these two lovebirds to join hands in togetherness! 

We started the day by documenting Genesis and Cynthia’s getting-ready moments. The room was full of joy and excitement as Cynthia’s bridesmaids helped her get ready for the big day. From zipping up Cynthia’s wedding dress to helping her put on her earrings, they were so genuinely invested. Meanwhile, Genesis got dressed in another room with his groomsman helping him fix his bow tie before heading out to see Cynthia. 

Genesis and Cynthia did a first look outdoors on the side of the home before walking down the aisle and saying their vows. Cynthia gracefully walked down a flight of stairs to Genesis, and as soon as he turned to see his wife-to-be he was in absolute awe of her beauty. Genesis’s reaction was priceless! The couple shared an intimate moment, just the two of them, and we captured some amazing pictures as it unfolded.

Genesis and Cynthia exchanged their vows surrounded by nature’s beauty. The soft glow of the sun peeking through the trees created an enchanting atmosphere during their wedding ceremony. Cynthia looked like an angel in her wedding dress, with her hair styled in curls and decorated with delicate hair accessories. Their wedding ceremony was touching and heartfelt and they began their new life together on such a perfect note. One of our favorite moments was watching their little boy play during the ceremony. He was so adorable! We really enjoyed photographing all of their happy memories.

After sealing their marriage with a kiss we whisked away Cynthia and Genesis for a few portraits. They were such naturals in front of the camera, making our work easy. Genesis and Cynthia looked at each other with so much adoration and love, giving us endless opportunities for gorgeous images. The newlyweds were smiling, laughing, kissing, and warmly embracing one another as we photographed.

Genesis and Cynthia also arranged for a private tea ceremony indoors with their close family. Cynthia did a quick outfit change and showed up in a stunning red dress with gold embroidery stitched throughout. She looked so regal! The room was bustling with loved ones catching up with one another and celebrating the couple’s new beginning. While the tea ceremony took place inside, Genesis and Cynthia had their wedding reception in the backyard. The newlyweds planned everything perfectly and it was truly a memorable day for everyone.
