As much as we love shooting weddings, we are also always up for taking engagement photos and organizing awesome engagement sessions at awesome locations. We get to meet new couples and create these lovely bonds that really make us love what we do. We love how giddy and excited couples are during this time, and we’re always looking forward to hearing their story – how they met, who asked who out, the proposal story, etc. It gives us a glimpse into their relationship, which is what helps us capture these precious memories. Sarah and Nabil’s engagement session in San Francisco, California, was a treat to photograph. These lovebirds planned on mixing things up and decided on having their engagement photography in two picturesque locations!
Engagement Session In San Francisco
Sarah and Nabil’s engagement session in San Francisco was nothing short of spectacular! And while they are planning a December wedding at Casa Real in Pleasanton, an engagement session was the perfect way to celebrate their milestone! The day started at the magnificent Legion of Honor, where we took some really romantic portraits of the couple against the backdrop of the monumental columns. From the historic architecture to the beautiful sculptures and gardens, the museum is a wonderful place for any couple looking to capture some truly stunning engagement photos.
To add an extra touch of romance and fun, Sarah and Nabil decided to twin with their outfits… and if you know us, you know we love a twinning moment! Sarah looked absolutely gorgeous in her chic black dress, which she complemented with a delicate bouquet of white and lavender blossoms put together by LC Floral Design. Nabil picked a black suit for the session and totally looked photo ready. We actually had a great time watching them do their thing in front of the camera.
Nabil was holding Sarah’s hand and gazing into her eyes with so much love and adoration, and their engagement photos speak for themselves. The museum grounds are absolutely stunning, and there are several aesthetic backdrops to choose from. Sarah and Nabil looked adorable together as they walked around the museum, stopping to pose in front of some of the most iconic spots within the museum grounds. And since the museum was closed due to COVID-19, no one was there, and we had the entire Legion of Honor to ourselves! Sarah and Nabil were constantly smiling and laughing, and their love for each other was evident in every embrace and kiss.
As their engagement session continued, Sarah and Nabil did a quick change into casual outfits. We went to Crissy Field to get some more romantic photos of the couple with the famous Golden Gate Bridge in the backdrop. And since it was a colder day in the city, not many people were out. Sarah and Nabil walked along the water’s edge, stopping to pose in front of the stunning bridge in the backdrop. No matter what we did or where we were, the couple never stopped smiling or laughing. And if these photos are not what being in love looks like, we don’t know what does!
We had a blast exploring different spots, and while we don’t shoot engagement sessions in San Francisco often due to safety issues, these were two locations (out of 5) that we love photographing engagements at. And we are so glad they wanted to get some more shots in front of one of the most famous landmarks in the world. It was truly a magical experience, and we are grateful that Sarah and Nabil trusted us to capture these precious memories for them.
