The story of Luis and Krystal…
As told by them.
They Meet…
It was the summer of 2005 – Krystal was 15 and Luis was 18. Both were enjoying their summer. Little did they know, they would build a bond that would survive through thick and thin. Luis and Krystal met through mutual friends and were instantly connected. They spent the entire summer getting to know each other. Luis eventually asked Krystal out on their first date. To this day, driving past Denny’s still brings back sparks and memories.
The US Army…
As summer ended, Luis enlisted in the US Army. Krystal was starting her Sophomore year in high school and she knew she was going to spend the days missing him, and wondering where he would end up in the world. Throughout Luis’ time in basic training, he and Krystal wrote letters to each other; each letter bonding them closer together and bringing back memories of the amazing summer days. Krystal always looked forward to coming home and checking the mailbox for letters from Luis.
After countless letters and being miles apart, Luis finally came home from basic training. Luis asked Krystal if he could visit her, and Krystal said yes. After the visit, Krystal knew in her heart that she wanted to spend as much time with Luis as possible. After many dates, Luis asked Krystal to be his girlfriend on September 8, 2006.
In 2007, Luis was called to serve in Iraq. Krystal waited patiently for his return, and supported him every step of the way. Halfway through his deployment, Luis was able to come home for Christmas. Little did Krystal know, she would have the most memorable Christmas. On December 21, 2007, Luis nervously got down on one knee and asked Krystal to marry him. Without a doubt in her mind, Krystal said yes! In front of the giant Christmas tree in Downtown Brentwood, Luis and Krystal would forever have a spot that they will hold dear in their hearts.
It’s been a decade together… And time for a Fall Wedding!
After 11 years of memories, traveling around the world, adding a fur baby to their family, and establishing their careers, Krystal and Luis have decided to get married on their 12 year anniversary – September 8, 2018. While their story started when they were young, they have patiently grown together, and supported each other’s dreams and ambitions to get to where they are today. They cannot wait to celebrate their next chapter of their lives with you.
