I absolutely adore photographing the “getting ready” part of the wedding day. It’s such a special and intimate time filled with love, laughter, and sometimes a few happy tears. Some of my favorite wedding photos from my big day (all the way back in 2005) were from my parent’s house, where I was getting ready with my family and bridesmaids. All the girls together, mom, grandma, and sometimes the future mother-in-law – it’s such a special time. I prefer to allow things to happen naturally while giving prompting as needed. Depending on your gown, brides should allow 30-45 minutes to get dressed. Don’t forget to relax and enjoy every moment!
