Family portrait sessions are something we always enjoy photographing. From observing parents and children enjoy memorable moments to photographing their beaming smiles, we attempt to create a day that every member of the family will cherish. In addition to capturing the love, laughter, and joy they share, we ensure that the entire family looks their best by making them feel at ease and confident in front of the camera. We had so much fun photographing Michael and Janelle’s San Ramon family session! The entire family was extremely lovely and a pleasure to work with. Furthermore, the little munchkin was undeniably the highlight of the session.

We get so excited every time we get the chance to take beautiful family photos and can’t wait to capture all of the precious bonding moments between each family member. We enjoy photographing them in various settings, assisting children and adults in posing for photos, and simply allowing them to have some fun as a family – it always results in some fantastic photos.

Michael and Janelle picked the great outdoors for their family portrait session, allowing nature to create a setting for unforgettable family photos. The emphasis was completely on the strong bond among the family members. Sometimes the ideal spot for a family portrait session is in the tranquility of nature. 

Every member of their adorable family, dressed casually and with a lot of love in their hearts, was ready to capture memories to last a lifetime. Michael and Janelle were beaming with joy as they posed with their daughter, who looked so sweet in her dress with her hair curled and braided. The little munchkin stole the show (and, of course, our hearts) with her adorable smile and hair! She was such a happy toddler during the lesson.

We had the privilege of capturing Michael and Janelle’s intimate COVID wedding in 2021 and, later, their vow renewal and reception in 2022, creating countless unforgettable moments with an extraordinary family. Michael and Janelle wanted their family photos to reflect their genuine selves. The great outdoors served as the perfect backdrop for this, with the soft lighting filtered through towering trees creating a beautiful scene and the temperate weather ensuring everyone’s comfort. It’s unclear whether they intentionally coordinated their outfits or color scheme, but the colors they chose harmoniously blended with the natural setting.

Throughout the session, the elders adored the tiny one, and one of our favorite moments was when mom and dad scooped up their precious daughter and held and kissed her tightly. It was a beautiful, candid moment. Everyone had a terrific day together, and the greatest thing was that the family focused on having fun rather than stressing about the shoot. Another highlight of the session was witnessing everyone’s bright smiles. It’s always uplifting to see our clients having fun throughout their sessions, and these guys never stopped laughing or smiling, even when they weren’t in the frame.
