Last year I stumbled upon an amazing CreativeLive workshop featuring this OC photographer named Jasmine Star. I just fell in love with her and her work. I follow her work and her blog when I can.  Although she was pretty big when I ‘found’ her, I’ve seen her grow so much over the last year and I find her and her story simply inspiring. When I noticed that she was putting on a workshop, I thought I died. Honestly, I did a little… because I couldn’t go.  Many of you know I work as a full time teacher during the school year and her workshops take place during the week – I just couldn’t swing it.  Timing was off.

Fast forward one year.

I’ve decided to split my business. I’ve decided to specialize in Romance. I’ve decided to blog. I’ve decided to put the past behind me and push forward without worrying about, ‘what everyone else was doing.’ I decided to find my voice.

Then a friend (Ashley from Randy and Ashley Photography and The Secret Pin-up) posted that she was going to Jasmine’s workshop in August.  I checked it out… again (I had done so earlier that morning) and put in my request.  Then I got the news that I didn’t get a spot.  I was so bummed! The next day came and then the email from Jasmine. Someone didn’t pay and if I wanted the spot it was mine. Ummmm, YEAH!!!

The timing was right. It was so right.
