Beautiful. Classic. Romantic. All of this and so much more perfectly describes Jackie and Christina’s Summer wedding at Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery. Their day was absolutely beautiful from beginning to end – not a detail was left untouched and no one stayed off the dance floor! I always love the details that go into a wedding day – but for Christina and Jackie, the highlight for me was their lighting and the music. You couldn’t help but dance, you couldn’t help but smile. I definitely went overboard with the dancing photos!
Enjoy!

How they met (from Christina):
We met very briefly through a mutual friend in June 2013. I had just recently moved back to the East Bay from Southern California . We saw each other a few times throughout the rest of summer from social gatherings with our mutual friend but really connected in September when my best friend came to the Bay Area to visit. On the last night of her visit, I invited Jackie to go out with us (since I had just moved back not long ago, I did not know many people). He ended up taking me and my best friend out to San Francisco for drinks, the 3 of us had a great time. When he dropped us off that night, he offered to take her to the airport with me the next morning. After we took her to the airport, he took me out for breakfast. It was the first time we hung out with just the two of us and from then on, we began to see each other in a “more than friends” kind of way.
The Proposal (from Christina):
On June 5, 2015, the final day of our two week adventure in Europe, Jackie and I planned to go to The Trocadéro in Paris at sunrise to take pictures with the Eiffel Tower. Jackie told me that he would set up his tripod to take our photos since it would be early and there shouldn’t be many people around. When we arrived, Jackie set up his tripod and positioned his camera bag 10 feet in front of the camera. He explained that the camera bag marks where we should stand for photos then pulled out his phone and told me that my sister was calling. He told me to answer while he went to the restroom. On the phone, my sister told me to open Jackie’s camera bag and quickly hung up. I walk up the bag and open it to find a folded letter and two Cracker Jack boxes. In the letter, Jackie described his love for me and went on to explain the meaning of the boxes (in my favorite television series, the leading couple began their relationship when the guy gave the girl a beaded bracelet that he found from a Cracker Jack box). As instructed in the letter, I go on to open one of the boxes and found a diamond ring locked in a red padlock, engraved with the words “Christina La, I love you. Will you marry me?” Jackie, who was hiding nearby, walked to me, took the diamond ring out of the padlock, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Jackie then revealed a photographer, whom he apparently had been in contact with for several months. The photographer captured the entire moment, while Jackie’s camera on the tripod was recording.
