Yuxing and Jiefing had an incredibly beautiful intimate wedding at Palm Event Center earlier this year. I loved their wedding day, and the love these two have for each other. Can you believe they actually met on a blind date?! They shared their story on their wedding website, and here it is again:

Jiefeng fell for Yuxing when she showed up to their blind date at a Chinese restaurant in California on Christmas day. They found many things in common. The feeling and connection was strong and mutual. Couple of months later, Yuxing visited Jiefeng back in the Midwest. While the early spring temperature stayed sub-zero and weather conditions were not ideal, they took comfort from each other and their hearts were closer than ever. Jiefeng then moved to California later in the year, and before long he popped the question!

I think it was absolutely incredible for Yuxing and Jiefing to tie in a lot of their Chinese heritage into their wedding day, and it made their day that much more special. Yuxing wore a gorgeous cathedral veil (my fave!) and then during the reception, she changed into a traditional red gown. In Chinese culture, it is very traditional for the bride to wear a red dress because the color red symbolizes good luck, happiness and prosperity (source), and let’s be honest: Yuxing looked amazing in both of her dresses!! Their reception was a blast, too – they even did some karaoke!
