Surrounded by expansive landscapes at a charming ranch, and happy faces all around, Kristy and Brandon had an exquisite Jamestown wedding. Fun fact: Brandon and Kristy are both amazing nurses residing in Sonora. It was a pleasure to photograph the wedding of Kristy’s sister (Haley) last year, so when they reached out to us, we were overjoyed. The couple had a wonderful union at Hurst Ranch, and we were honored to be there every step of the way. The guest count was a perfect 120, and guests from out of town could take it easy and enjoy the long weekend festivities. And despite the many opinions and budget constraints, Kristy and Brandon pulled off a wedding that was as beautiful as it was heartfelt.

Meet The Lovebirds

When Kristy moved to Sonora for her new grad nursing job, she didn’t expect to fall in love so quickly – but when she met Brandon, a Superman look-alike CNA, she was smitten. It wasn’t until a few months later, when Brandon returned as a nurse in the ER, that they reconnected and started their incredible relationship.

From traveling, and lounging on the beach, to cuddling with their cats, Kristy and Brandon’s love is truly something special. And if that’s not enough to make you swoon, let us tell you about the proposal – Brandon got down on one knee at the stunning Carmel beach on February 19th, 2022, making it a moment the couple will never forget.

Kristy And Brandon’s Jamestown Wedding

Our day started with capturing beautiful moments as the bride prepared for her big day. The energy and anticipation in the air were infectious! It was heartwarming to see Kristy getting ready with her mother, Heidi. Kristy looked stunning in her Martina Liana dress from J’aime Bridal, radiating elegance and joy with a beaming smile. A special shout-out to the talented Tori Dougherty, who worked wonders with Kristy’s hair and makeup. And let’s not forget the exquisite bouquet by Sincerely, Sonora Florist, completing her bridal look flawlessly.

Kristy and Brandon had a lovely first look! The groom looked dashing in his Brooks Brothers suit as he awaited his bride. And as they kissed, it was as if love filled the air, sprinkling it with a thousand heart emojis. For their couples portraits, we had a blast exploring the stunning backdrops and landscapes of Hurst Ranch and capturing Kristy and Brandon’s love. They were head over heels in love with each other, and it showed in every frame. The rustic charm of the venue, bathed in golden sunlight and surrounded by lush greenery, elevated their photos to a whole new level of ethereal beauty.

The outdoor ceremony at Hurst Ranch was breathtaking, as Kristy and Brandon said their “I do’s” against the stunning natural landscape. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly their 3 PM ceremony, with the sunlight beaming through the green leaves above and the rustic brown of the ranch adding an earthy charm to the enchanting ceremony backdrop. It was all smiles and cheers from their loved ones as the couple pledged for a lifetime of togetherness and love.

Celebrating The Newlyweds

We LOVED how the wedding party brought irresistible energy to the celebration! The bridesmaids and groomsmen were incredible, infusing each moment with their contagious energy and playful spirit. And their bond with Kristy and Brandon shone in remarkable portraits that were a mix of LOL moments and elegant poses. But that was just the beginning! When the bridesmaids rolled up their sleeves to help the bride kick off her heels and slip into comfy dancing shoes, we knew it was time to hit the dance floor.

During their reception, the newlyweds had their first dance to the song “I Like Me Better” by Lauv, which was recorded at Spotify Studios NYC! Sweet Harmony Entertainment kept the energy flowing all night, and we had a great time capturing it all. But our favorite moment of the evening was the toasts! Hearing about Kristy and Brandon’s journey to finding each other from their family and friends was truly heartwarming.

A special shout-out to the fantastic vendors who helped execute the day’s events flawlessly – the talented Lila & Sage Catering, Premiere Event Rentals, Lincoln’s Presidential Sweets, and the videography team at None Like You! Despite the sweltering heat (105 degrees, to be exact), everyone had a blast – all thanks to the venue for equipping the barn with swamp fans to keep everyone cool during the reception. It all culminated in a perfect summer evening that made for absolutely stunning photos during their sparkler exit!
