If you’re new to my blog, you might not know this – but I absolutely love photographing weddings at golf clubs. Dan and Rachel’s summer wedding at the Bridges Golf Club is new on my blog today, and I’m so excited to share it with you guys!

How Dan and Rachel Met

In March of 2013, Rachel started her new brand job, and it was also the day that she met her new co-worker (and future
husband), Daniel. Rachel was seated at a desk right next to Daniel’s which led the two to become fast friends over their shared love for the Raiders, college basketball, country music, 2 Chainz, reality TV, and office pranks. Unfortunately for Daniel, having a desk next to Rachel’s also meant that he had to listen to the dramatic sob story of how her boyfriend broke up with her and how she was going to be single throughout Christmas and Valentine’s Day, never to find “love” again.

Daniel couldn’t believe that Rachel was already worried about the holidays, so he made her a promise that if she was still single on Valentine’s day, he would take her out for a drink. Fast forward 6 months to Valentine’s day, Rachel was shocked that Daniel remembered and wanted to keep the promise he had made her. They found that their friendship had become much more than just that, so Daniel asked Rachel on a real first date where they spent the entire day at the San Francisco aquarium and he officially asked her to become his girlfriend.

How Dan Proposed to Rachel

The proposal took place on Sunday September 23, 2018 at Wente Winery in Livermore, CA. The night prior, Daniel and Rachel attended the wedding of Daniel’s cousin where they partook in more Chardonnay and tequila shots than anticipated but had a great time dancing the night away. While the next morning proved to be a slower start for Rachel, Daniel surprisingly was acting normal while watching the Raiders game and trying to keep the two on schedule for the date they had planned with Rachel’s parents at the winery.

Upon arrival at the winery, Rachel’s mom asked Rachel for some assistance with a “wardrobe malfunction” while Daniel went inside with Rachel’s dad to grab some seats for a wine tasting. Once Rachel entered the building, she was stunned to see her grandparents, best friends, and Daniel’s parents all gathered round. It took a minute for Rachel to realize what was happening, but once she saw Daniel drop down to one knee in front of everyone, the tears of pure joy took over!!
