Tucked away in the golden hills, away from the hustle and bustle of the Bay Area, lies a little park (well, it’s not really ‘little’) called Tilden Park. This little gem has classic steam trains, a merry-go-round, a golf course and lots of little nooks and crannies where families can hike and picnic. Just past the botanical gardens is a picturesque building, named the Brazil Room, which was originally built for the World’s Fair in 1939. It boasts unique valley views, beautiful architecture, and it is easily one of the most sought-after wedding locations in the East Bay. Scott and Lisa are avid outdoorsmen, so the moment they peeked into the windows of the Brazilian Room, they were hooked.

Lisa and Scott met online and after several emails back and forth, both were very interested, to say the least.  After meeting in person and a sweet kiss in a parking lot, sparks flew and a second, third, and fourth date were soon to follow.  Between hiking, adventuring up and down California, games of kickball, and being parents to fur-baby Marlowe, Lisa and Scott knew this was, ‘it.’

While on vacation in Cambria, the two headed down to the beach in the early (and foggy) morning with Marlowe. Little did Lisa know, Scott had other plans than a simple walk on the beach – he got down on one knee and pulled out a classic Tiffany solitaire. Selfies soon followed and the planning quickly began!

Lisa and Scott opted for a mid-morning Labor Day ceremony.  Guests gathered on the slate patio, overlooking the hills and the trees of Tilden Park. Lisa was escorted by her father down the aisle, they shared a few sweet glances, and Lisa’s smile shined. They chose to write personal vows to one another – heartfelt and full of raw honesty and love.
