Following a romantic at home proposal, Ray and Amanda planned a whirlwind wedding. In just a short 4 month period, these two pulled off what few can! Their magical ‘I Do’s’ took place at the ever beautiful Palm Event Center in Pleasanton. Although January can be tricky with weather, the rain stayed away and blue skies were abundant. The perfectly purple hues of the bridesmaid dresses were a wonderful contrast against the red brick buildings and the rolling green hills of the valley.
The day started off early at Amanda’s grandmother’s home in Castro Valley where all of the ladies were getting ready. The mimosas were flowing as the final preparations took place…
The day was truly a family affair. Amanda’s Matron of Honor was the one woman who has been by her side through think and thin – her mother. Her bridesmaids where her sisters and the groomsmen, brothers. The ever important job of flower girl was held by their beautiful daughter, Mia.
As the ceremony begun, there wasn’t a dry eye in the Estate Room. As Mia walked down, one little guest asked her mother if Mia was a princess. It warmed my heart and made my tears start to flow too! As the large double doors opened for Amanda, there was silence and then a gasp. Absolute perfection stood calmly in front of 100 guests.
Walked down by her father and her brother, Ray’s eyes never left Amanda’s…
One of the most poingent moments in the ceremony was the exchange of a ring. One ring. A ring given to Mia from Ray as a promise to forever love and cherish her. It was beautiful, honest, and warming.
