For us, weddings have always been special occasions that we absolutely love capturing. Not only do we get to capture beautiful memories, but we also get to hear different love stories and experience unique wedding ceremonies. Whether it’s the rituals or the food menu, there is always something new and different. And we feel honored to be part of such an important day in people’s lives. Kari and William’s wedding ticked all the boxes of an elegant wedding. They tied the knot at the Palm Event Center in Pleasanton, California, and their wedding day was filled with lots of love and laughter. Here’s a glimpse of their grand wedding.
Meet The Couple
William and Kari were introduced to each other by their grandmother and mother, and it was love at first sight! Talking about their proposal, Kari told us that William proposed to her on a romantic hot air balloon ride over Nappa, and she said yes! After hearing their story, we knew that these two romantic and adventurous souls were made for each other.
Kari And William’s Palm Event Center Wedding
Kari and William said I do at the famous Palm Event Center in Pleasanton, California. The venue offers various event spaces like the ballroom, bridal suite, lounge, vineyard terrace, and an estate room for couples who want to add their families’ cultures, customs, and traditions to their wedding. With vast open vineyards and palm trees surrounding the location, the property is perfect for those who want an elegant wedding. It’s a one-stop spot that offers everything for everyone!
We began William and Kari’s wedding photography by capturing their getting ready moments. Kari was glowing with excitement as her bridesmaids, who were dressed in David’s Bridal, helped her get ready. And her mom was also with her, helping with the final touches, and looked so proud of her daughter as she stood behind her fixing her wedding dress.
The couple’s wedding ceremony took place indoors under the massive chandeliers. Their wedding altar was just gorgeous, with white sheer sheets hanging from the chandelier, making the room look so magical! Kari and William really thought about every detail while planning their wedding, and it definitely showed.
Kari looked like a vision in her mermaid-style dress, designed by Maggie Sottero, as she walked down the aisle with her son. William’s eyes were filled with happiness as Kari stood by his side. Another great part about the ceremony was watching Kari’s grandson perform his ring bearer duties so diligently. Their wedding ceremony featured a blending of the wine ceremony – a way for couples to symbolize the blending of their lives. This was such a special and touching moment for everyone present at their wedding.
After Kari and William were pronounced husband and wife, the wedding party headed outdoors for some portraits. The weather was ideal, with clear blue skies and the sun peeking through the palm trees. For their couples portraits, we decided to walk over to the vineyard area, and it made for the most breathtaking backdrop! Kari and William held hands and embraced each other with the biggest smiles on their faces.
Their wedding reception was a fairy tale come true. They had their first dance and swayed to “I Can’t tell You Why” by the Eagles with DJ Fantasy Sound on the console. Their reception was full of laughter and love, and the donut flambe station and a slider station were a huge hit among the guests! As we ask all our lovely couples about their favorite part of the wedding planning process, Kari and William, being the foodies that they are, said that their favorite part was the food tasting! And we agree 100%, the food at their wedding looked absolutely delicious and so picture-perfect! Also, the wedding cake by Cake Creations by Bev was a work of art.
