Olympia Valley Estate Wedding // Alex and Ellen

This wedding is one I will absolutely never forget.

Alex and Ellen had what I can only imagine as one of the most stressful pre-wedding experiences of any couple I’ve ever worked with. Originally, their wedding was scheduled to be at Soda Rock Winery in Healdsburg and every detail was nailed down. In the days leading up to their wedding though, their gorgeous venue went up in flames, a victim of the devastating Napa Fires in October 2019. Can you even imagine!?

With less than 48 hours to go, Alex and Ellen’s rockstar wedding planner, Kayla of Lindsay Lauren Events managed to find a new venue for them: Olympia Valley Estate! The venue had actually “closed” their wedding season just before the fires broke out, so they were available and jumped at the opportunity to help Alex and Ellen out.

But you know what? These two stayed very calm and relaxed throughout the entire process, even though they were planning their wedding from out of state and had to find new lodging for nearly all of their guests, who had to be evacuated from their hotels and AirBnB’s, too! You never would have known the incredible stress in the days leading up to the big day though.  Their wedding day went off without a hitch, and was absolutely perfect.

Thank you Alex and Ellen for inviting me to be part of your gorgeous wedding! Congratulations and best wishes for an incredible marriage!
