Bridges Golf Course Wedding // Richard & Natalie

Natalie and Richard tied the knot on the eve of their 8 year “date-a-versary.” Alongside their friends, family, and son Greyson, these two had a celebration that I will never forget.

Their ceremony took place out on Bridges ceremony lawn. Although the sun was warm, the breeze that comes though the valley was perfect during the short ceremony. Natalie and Richard opted to read their own vows to one another. But, instead of reading them with a mic, they said them quietly to one another. Even though we could not hear what they were saying, there was not a dry eye in the house. A special song and reading were done by family members, which added a nice, even more personal touch to the ceremony.

Their reception was lit with gobo’s on the floor and on the walls, which transformed Bridges Garden Pavilion into a completely different room. As soon as the sun went down, the dance floor was packed and everyone partied the night away!

How did they meet?

Natalie visited her best friend (and MOH) Lynn at Cal Poly in 2007 and met Richard. The chemistry was instant, although both were dating other people, and they had a fun time hanging out both nights over the weekend. They remained friends through Facebook for a few years and in May 2010, when Richard came back from school, he reached out wanting to catch up. After some messages, text conversations, and phone calls, they went on a few dates and on June 16, 2010, they officially became a couple.

What did Natalie and Richard think about working with Karey?

Posted on The Knot… “If you’re looking for a wedding photographer, look no further than Hazy Lane Studios! Karey is so easy to work with and was always available to answer questions or to discuss ideas. Her galleries are all beautiful, romantic, and modern-yet-timeless. Prior to the wedding, she met and spoke with us a few times to make sure we were all on the same page and gave us ideas to help make our day go smoothly. Oh the big day, she was able to work with our large bridal party and got our ‘must have’ pictures taken with ease thanks to her upbeat personality. We loved how comfortable she made us feel and the pictures and album that we have received are priceless. We cannot thank Karey enough for doing such a fabulous job and giving us gorgeous photos and memories from our special day.”
