If you have never been to a Jewish wedding, you are in for a treat today! Matt and Loni celebrated their marriage with a romantic Jewish wedding at Elliston Vineyards in Sunol this past summer and I’m so excited to share some of my favorite moments from their day with you on my blog!

How Matt and Loni Met and Got Engaged

For two people that live in Silicon Valley, it should only make sense that they met on a dating app! But it was not quite love at first sight; in fact, Matt had to ask Loni out twice before she finally accepted! From that moment on though, Matt and Loni have been inseparable and have explored the world together. They even went to Japan to see the Sakura festival and eat sushi together, which happens to be one of their favorite things to do!

When it came time for Matt to propose, he made it extra special by proposing at the park across the street of Loni’s childhood home. Ahh, so sweet – I love it!

Their Jewish wedding at Elliston Vineyards began with the traditional signing of the Ketubah, right after their first look. This is a semi-private tradition for Jewish weddings, that includes the rabbi, the bride and groom, best man, maid of honor and parents. Matt and Loni had a beautiful Ketubah, detailed with a tree.

Something that was pretty special about this Jewish ceremony was that the four groomsmen, including the best man, carried the chuppah in as part of the ceremony procession. They held it steady during the entire ceremony! And the chuppah canopy in itself was the face of the wedding quilt, handmade by Matt’s mother. Loni’s mom played a big part in the wedding as well, helping plan it with Loni and Matt from over 90 miles away!
