Deer Park Villa Wedding // Meghan + Chase

Meghan and Chase’s Deer Park Villa wedding took place on a chilly November day. Redwoods towered over them as they said “I Do” during their outdoor ceremony.

The pair, who met in a junior high homeroom class, had been looking forward to this day for years! They had 250 friends and family members there to celebrate with them, and a large wedding party complete with a flower girl, ring bearer, and three junior bridesmaids.

Before the big event began, Meghan slipped into her gorgeous wedding gown with a flowing skirt and sweetheart neckline.  Her mother was there to button the tiny buttons going down her back, and to clasp the gilded bracelet on her wrist. She looked perfect from her golden hair pulled halfway up, to the lacy white shoes on her feet. After getting ready, she took a moment to open a gift from Chase: two travel guide books to take along on their honeymoon in Europe. Meanwhile, all dressed and ready to go, Chase and his groomsmen passed around a big goblet of champagne, sharing memories and a few laughs. Chase opened a watch from Meghan, her gift to him to commemorate their wedding day.

When the ceremony began, Meghan seemed to float down the aisle, a big smile on her face. Chase wiped tears from his eyes as he saw his gorgeous bride. The couple stood under the wedding trellis, framed with greenery, a backdrop of redwood trees behind them. They shared vows, exchanged rings, and took communion together, before being pronounced husband and wife.

A cocktail hour followed the ceremony, and the bride and groom took photos in the wooden grounds of Deer Park Villa. Soon, they rejoined their guests for the start of the reception. The reception took place on a patio lined with lights and decorated with rustic bouquets of flowers. Centerpieces with the table numbers on them showed pictures of Chase and Meghan throughout their lives and relationship. A vintage VW bus, dubbed The Booth Bus, served as a fun photo booth for smiling guests.

The wedding party excitedly danced in as they were announced, and then Meghan and Chase were introduced for the first time as a married couple. They danced to a rendition of “Enough for Me,” sung by two of the couples’ friends. Guests cuddled in warm blankets, the wedding favor, as they watched the couple cut the cake, make speeches, and share dances with their parents.

As the night grew colder, the party moved inside. Meghan threw a toss bouquet for the ladies, and the couple celebrated on the dance floor with their guests. This magical day, full of love and joy, was the perfect start to Meghan and Chase’s “happily ever after.”
