A little rustic, a little vintage, and all love…
Carlos and Brittani are two of the most kind hearted people I’ve had the opportunity to meet. The two live in Southern California (by my second home, Disneyland) and planned and beautiful destination wedding in the Yosemite Valley. Every little detail was planned out. From the beautiful kraft and lace invitations, to the blue vintage mason jars that Brittani’s mother found in Kentucky and the hand made favors, the newlyweds and their guests had a lovely day in the valley.
The two spoke their handwritten vows on the rocky shores of Cathedral Beach, with the stunning El Capitan in the background. She wore a beautiful, V-neck, roushed gown – He wore a handsome grey suit with a pink tie to match her flowers. Since heels are not very practical in Yosemite, the newlyweds wore coordinating Chuck Taylors! To top it off, Brittani wore elegant pearls and a 100-year old vintage cameo that has been handed down in her family for generations.
Following the ceremony, guests headed off of their own to explore and relax before dinner. Brittani and Carlos went back to their cabin for some R+R, along with an outfit change. Brittani changed into a stunning lace gown with a cut out back, while Carlos changed into darker blue suit with a grey and pink tie. Once at the Ahwahnee, the two shared their first dance outside while the sun was setting. Their guests made a semi-circle around them, smiling. Taking dance lessons prior, the two had a romantic dance to, “Stand By Me,” which included their 5-year old daughter at the end.
Following speeches, dinner was served. Guests dined inside the hotels’ Mural Room, with long banquet tables set up in a U-shape. Vintage books, wrapped in lace, the vintage mason jars and beautiful blooms sat on the table tops. Guests found their seats by the sweet s’mores favors that were tagged with a woodburned name plate, done by the groom himself!
Enjoy…
