We will start with a business round table over wine and a small plate lunch before going out and shooting a beautiful couple in the winery. We will discuss shooting for your brand and for publication, how to get published, and how to maximize your time on the wedding day. Afterwards, we will spend time in the vineyard shooting a beautiful couple! Everyone will have plenty of opportunities to pose the couple (together and separately) and you will learn (and practice) how to talk though the camera and get more realistic and natural poses and expressions. After we are done, you will join the others for the shoot out and work with other couples, details and loveliness!

What people are saying:

C. Wagner Photography & Design (has attended the last two wedding shoots) – “What I found even more exceptional was that – it never felt like a competition with the other 11 photographers. Everyone was nice and open. We all kept saying sorry and excuse me when we needed another angle or accidentally jumped in someone else’s frame. Everyone directed couples and didn’t mind others utilizing their direction and so forth. No one seemed guarded. Shy at first, sure. It was great to have preconceived notions erased – the perception that each of us is a competition and that we need to guard ourselves in case of – insert worst case scenario fear here. It felt more like a team and a co-operative. I liked that a lot. I would definitely recommend Hazy Lane‘s styled shoots and would jump at the next opportunity if she ever does a workshop or another styled session.”

Photos by Kim E. – “I am a family photographer so when  the opportunity to join in a stylized session created by Karey of HAZY LANE STUDIOS with twelve other photographers, I was a bit nervous (in all caps), but that nervousness lasted about the distance of me walking from my car and into diablo country club. I was instantly welcomed by the beautiful team that put this session together. The friendliness and openness of everyone working together was amazing. we worked together (even when there were moments of bumping into each other, there were sorry’s followed by laughters) and all swooned together when we would find stunning light. There is something that’s just so inspirational and beautiful when you’re surrounded by awesomenes and these photos? Definitely encompass the awesomeness of the day.”

About Karey and Hazy Lane Studios: Based in the East Bay, I have been photographing weddings since 2011. My weddings have been featured over 6 dozen times, in print and on well known blogs such as Style Me Pretty, Ruffled, Utterly Engaged, Rustic Wedding Chic Magazine, Ceremony Magazine, Mountainside Bride and Wedding Wire to name a few. My business has grown like crazy in the last few years from shooting (as a lead) eight weddings in 2012 to thirteen weddings in 2013 and twenty-five in 2014. I absolutely love working with couples and capturing memories of their wedding day. I am known for being very efficient with my time – I absolutely hate wasting time and feel it is necessary to maximize every moment of the wedding day to its full potential. I talk a lot though my camera, so I take more of a hands-off approach to my couples and bridal parties. I feel this gives for more of a natural look to posing and prevents couples from looking awkward and uncomfortable. In my non-photography life, I am a wife, a mother to two little girls, and also teach middle school! My teacher voice comes in handy and comes out at every wedding!
