Wedding at the Eagle Ridge Golf Course // Michelle + David

Michelle and David realized they had so much in common during their first date over boba drinks. What was supposed to be a quick date turned into six hours of chatting and getting to know each other.  Those six hours were nothing compared to the adventurous future they had heading their way! They got engaged in Bali after a long, romantic dinner. In September, Michelle and David were married in a beautiful ceremony at the Wedgewood at Eagle Ridge in Gilroy.

On their big day, there were two special ceremonies before the actual wedding ceremony began. Michelle wore a red dress, symbolizing luck, for the door games and the tea ceremony. The door games gave David a chance to prove his love for Michelle by participating in funny tasks that were assigned to him. He struggled to fit through a collapsible tunnel, as friends and family cheered him on. He got really close with his groomsmen as he passed an apple to them- with his mouth. After all of his hard work, he was allowed to see his bride.

During the tea ceremony, Michelle and David served tea to their in-laws-to-be as a sign of respect. Michelle and David were then given gifts: a red envelope for David, and gold jewelry for Michelle. With this ceremony, Michelle and David were symbolically accepted into their new families.

Michelle changed out of her red dress and wore a full, flowing white gown for the wedding ceremony. Her bridesmaids helped her put the finishing touches on her outfit before it was time to walk down the aisle. The bridesmaids, wearing blush-colored dresses and carrying romantic bouquets of roses and greenery, walked down before her. A flower girl and ring-bearer started down the aisle, and then finally, it was Michelle’s turn. She was walked down the aisle by her father, her long veil trailing behind her. David’s face lit up as Michelle made her way to him. The beautiful couple exchanged vows and rings, and then became united forever.

The reception hall was bright with natural light flowing in from large windows. The tables and chairs were draped in white linens, with pink sashes tied around the back of the chairs. Later in the evening, twinkling lights would keep the light shining and the atmosphere romantic and cheerful. Two large containers of boba drinks sat on a table, reminding guests of the couple’s sweet beginning. Another table was set with favors that the guests would take home later: cactus plants that Michelle crocheted herself.

Michelle looked like a princess as David spun her around the dance floor during their first dance, her full skirt billowing around her. When the dance was finished, David swept Michelle off of the ground and kissed her. The newlyweds celebrated the entire night with friends and loved ones, and then set off for their new adventures as husband and wife.
