I first met Jack and Alicia in May of 2013 when I photographed their friends wedding in San Francisco (Adam and Tanya). Roughly a month later Jack would pick out a stunning padaparadscha sapphire in New York  and have it placed into a custom setting for a beautiful proposal a few months later…

You see – it was love at first sight. From the moment they met, there was no doubt that their road would lead them to this day. On July 2, 2012 they were in an office building elevator and fate had it that Jack would hold the door open for Alicia. She got off on her floor told her friend that she just met the cutest guy – they then went around the third floor asking if anyone knew who he was! He ‘knew’ before the first date. A year later, Jack picked out the ring.

Their day at Livermore’s Murrieta’s Well was beautiful. The forecast called for rain in the weeks leading up to the wedding, but that day there was not a cloud in sight. It was a perfect California Fall day. I met up with them as they were getting ready in separate rooms, both Jack and Alicia were clam and enjoying their afternoon. Everyone knew their part, there was no rush.

Here is that stunning sapphire ring! I could have photographed it all day long!

The ceremony started right on time, as the sun began to set behind the vineyard. Jack,with great anticipation, waited to see his bride for the first time that day. The doors opened and there she was. She was simply breath taking and friends and family that were in attendance, gasped. I got chilled and briefly forgot what I was supposed to do! As their ceremony continued, you couldn’t help but notice all of the funny faces Jack kept making. Now, yes, Jack is a funny guy, but he admitted to making those faces to prevent himself from crying because he was in such awe of what was happening and how beautiful his bride was.
