Late-Summer Wedding at The Bridges Golf Course // Eliana + Adam

Eliana and Adam were married at the Bridges Golf Club in San Ramon in late August. Their late-summer wedding incorporated timeless Jewish traditions, and had fun-but-elegant vibes. The couple met several years ago at a Hannukah party. Eliana rang a doorbell, and literally walked into Adam’s life. After a brief engagement, the couple was more than ready to tie the knot.

The bridesmaids and the bride wore matching floral robes as they prepped for the day. The ladies had their hair done, and put the finishing touches on their makeup. Then, they helped Eliana into her gorgeous, lacy gown. She wore her long hair curled and pulled over one shoulder. Meanwhile, in a different hotel room, the men also got ready for the day. They wore suits and bow ties, and even bright-colored socks.

Eliana and Adam saw each other in their wedding-day best during the first look photo shoot. Eliana wore a mid-length veil and carried a bouquet of lilies and roses as she walked up behind Adam. They had the biggest, happiest smiles on their faces when they finally saw each other!

Before the ceremony, the couple signed a Ketubah in the Fireside room before friends and family. In this agreement, Adam pledged to provide for Eliana, and she agreed to his proposal. As they sat together listening to the rabbi describe their marriage responsibilities, some of their loved ones were moved to tears. Witnesses and the rabbi signed the Ketubah, a beautiful piece of art that would soon be a part of their home together.

It was a bright, clear afternoon when the wedding ceremony began. The ketubah now had a place right next to the chuppa, for all to see. Adam embraced his parents at the end of the aisle, and then turned and waited for his bride. Eliana walked down the aisle, escorted by both of her parents. When Eliana’s father gave her away to Adam, she then circled around him seven times, a tradition symbolizing seven wedding blessings, and that Adam would be the center of her life.

As the ceremony continued, it was filled with more timeless traditions. After vows and rings were exchanged, Adam stepped on a glass, representing their unbreakable marriage. As Adam lifted his foot to shatter it, his colorful socks peeked out.  The newlyweds kissed, and walked up the aisle through a veil of bubbles that their joyful guests made for them.

The reception was waiting for them in the Garden Pavillion of the Bridges Golf Club. The wedding party was introduced, and quickly united in a tunnel for the happy bride and groom to run through. This celebration would be full of fun, joyful moments like this, and their first dance was no exception. Eliana and Adam had prepared a choreographed first dance, and they smiled and laughed throughout it. Later, the couple participated in another traditional dance, as their guests swept them up in chairs for the hora.

After cutting the cake and tossing the bouquet, guests lined up with sparklers as Eliana and Adam walked by; a final way to celebrate their marriage on this perfect day.
